About this tool
llms.txt is a proposed Markdown file at the root of a website that gives AI tools a short summary of the site and a curated list of its most useful pages. The validator downloads /llms.txt, checks that it starts with a single H1, has a blockquote summary and H2 sections, and that links follow the - [Name](URL): description format.
It also tests up to 20 of the links, checks the content type and size, and looks for an optional llms-full.txt. No file yet? Create one with the llms.txt generator.

Is llms.txt an official standard?
Not yet. It is a community proposal from 2024. Support varies between AI tools, but the file is cheap to create and harmless.
