About this tool
Paste one URL per line, or a CSV exported from a crawler or spreadsheet. The first column is the URL; optional columns are lastmod (YYYY-MM-DD) and hreflang:xx-yy for each language or country version. Header names are detected automatically.
Duplicates and invalid URLs are removed, and lists over 50,000 URLs are split into several files plus a sitemap index. When you are done, upload the file to your site root, add a Sitemap: line to robots.txt and check it with the robots.txt & sitemap checker.
Frequently asked questions
How many URLs can one sitemap hold?
Up to 50,000 URLs or 50 MB uncompressed. Larger sites use several sitemaps listed in a sitemap index file – this tool creates both.
Do I need changefreq and priority?
No. Google ignores both. An accurate lastmod date is the field that matters.
Is my list uploaded anywhere?
No. The sitemap is built in your browser.
